A presente invenção refere-se a composições nutricionais compreendendo ao menos um oligossacarídeo fucosilado, de preferência 2FL, para uso na melhora do desenvolvimento pancreático e/ou da maturação pancreática de bebês e/ou a melhora da biossíntese de insulina e/ou a prevenção de distúrbio metabólico ou doenças associadas e/ou o controle da glicose durante a intervenção nutricional ou em fases posteriores da vida. A composição pode ser uma fórmula para bebês. A composição pode, também, compreender ao menos um oligossacarídeo N-acetilado, de preferência, LnNT.
