Abstract
USO DE INIBIDORES DO EGFR PARA CERATODERMAS. A síndrome de Olmsted (OS) é uma genodermatose rara classicamente caracterizada pela combinação de ceratoderma palmoplantar transgrediente mutilante bilateral (PPK) e placas ceratóticas periorificiais. Os inventores obtiveram resultados notáveis com um tratamento com um inibidor do EGFR (por exemplo, erlotinibe) em 3 pacientes com síndrome de Olmsted e eritemalgia ligados a diferentes mutações do TRPV3. Em menos de 3 meses, o medicamento induziu um desaparecimento completo da hiperqueratose e da dor. A anorexia e a insônia desapareceram com uma melhora do crescimento. Por conseguinte, a presente invenção se refere ao uso dos inibidores do EGFR para os ceratodermas.
