PROTEÍNA PARA TRATAMENTO DE DOENÇAS INFLAMATÓRIAS. A presente invenção se refere a uma lectina para uso no tratamento, redução da progressão e cura de inflamações em um indivíduo em necessidade. Também são descritas composições farmacêuticas compreendendo a referida lectina. A lectina pode compreender uma sequência de aminoácidos tendo a sequência da SEQ ID NO: 1 ou pelo menos 60% de homologia com a SEQ ID NO: 1.
