Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a compostos químicos úteis, por exemplo, na inibição da formação de poros de gasdermina em uma célula, inibição da morte de uma célula mediada por inflamassoma (piroptose); inibição da secreção de citocinas de uma célula, inibição de uma caspase inflamatória em uma célula e/ou reação covalentemente com uma cisteína de uma proteína gasdermina em uma célula. Estes compostos também são úteis no tratamento ou prevenção de doenças ou condições nas quais a ativação do inflamassoma está implicada na patogênese. Um exemplo dessa doença ou condição é sepse.
