Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um cateter (1), tal como para uso para atravessamento de oclusão total e reentrada do lúmen, incorpora uma agulha curvada de nitinol flexível longa retrátil (40) na extremidade distal do cateter (20, 50, 60, 90). A agulha é reta quando retirada dentro do cateter. Quando impulsionada, a agulha (40) é destacada por projeção axialmente para fora, diretamente da ponta distal (20, 50, 60, 90), através de um mecanismo usado para direcionar a agulha curvada em uma direção radial específica. Quando impulsionada, a agulha restaura sua forma curvada e pode penetrar a placa ou o meio e camadas intimais para reentrar no lúmen verdadeiro.
