A presente invenção se refere ao tratamento de polpa de dissolução com uma monoxigenase lítica de polissacarídeo. O tratamento com monoxigenase lítica de polissacarídeo resulta em viscosidade reduzida e/ou controle de viscosidade melhorado no processo de produção de polpa de dissolução e/ou maior reatividade da polpa de dissolução.
