Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um anel de segmento não chanfrado, que é pré-tratado por jateamento abrasivo a uma rugosidade definida, seguido por revestimento de PVD com um nitreto metálico a uma espessura de pelo menos 10 ¿m, deixando picos e vales no anel de segmento revestido. O anel de segmento revestido é depois polido para remover os picos sem penetrar no revestimento, de modo que vales e platôs se mantêm na superfície revestida. O anel de segmento resultante apresenta uma retenção de revestimento superior, devido à maior área superficial criada pelo jateamento abrasivo, e ainda também um desempenho superior, pois as cavidades remanescentes aumentam a porosidade e, desse modo, melhoram a lubrificação do anel.
