Abstract
A presente invenção se refere aos métodos de tratar infecções fúngicas administrando no trato respiratório de um paciente que precisa deste uma quantidade eficiente de um agente antifúngico, preferivelmente itraconazol, em que o dito agente antifúngico é administrado em uma quantidade suficiente para atingir simultaneamente a) uma concentração pulmonar de agente antifúngico de pelo menos 500 ng/g ou ng/mL, e b) uma concentração plasmática de agente antifúngico de não mais que 25 ng/mL. A forma preferida é como inalação de pó seco.
