Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e composições para agonizar um receptor de orexina tipo 2 (OX2R) em uma célula determinada que está em necessidade do mesmos, incluindo o método geral de (a) administrar a um indivíduo um agonista OX2R de guanidinil cíclico e (b) detectar uma vigília aumentada resultante ou aumento da resistência ao acúmulo de gordura corporal induzido pela dieta ou recuperação abreviada da anestesia geral ou jet lag.
