Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a métodos de auxílio no diagnóstico e avaliação de um indivíduo que sofreu ou pode ter sofrido uma lesão na cabeça. Por exemplo, a presente descrição fornece métodos para auxiliar no diagnóstico e avaliação de um indivíduo para determinar se o indivíduo sofreu uma lesão cerebral traumática (LCT) detectando ou medindo uma combinação dos níveis de hidrolase carboxi-terminal de ubiquitina L1 (UCH-L1) e de proteína fibrilar ácida da glia (GFAP) em amostras coletadas em vários pontos no tempo no prazo de 48 horas após o indivíduo ter sofrido ou poder ter sofrido uma lesão na cabeça.
