Abstract
A presente invenção se refere a uma armadilha para insetos (10) e, mais particularmente, a uma armadilha para insetos que compreende um compartimento posterior (12), uma cobertura (16) capaz de transmitir luz através da mesma e uma fonte de luz (22) compreendendo diodos emissores de luz, daqui em diante LEDs que emitem luz ultravioleta (UV). Mais particularmente, a fonte de luz (22) é direcionada para os meios de captura ou morte de insetos (100) e a fonte de luz (22) é impedida de ser direcionada imediatamente para o exterior através da cobertura (16). Em uma modalidade preferida, a fonte de luz é montada no(s) membro(s) de suporte (24), que são moldados de modo que a luz emitida seja direcionada substancialmente paralela e espalhada em um plano (X-X) dos meios de captura de insetos e compartimento posterior.
