Abstract
Um cateter urinário e um recipiente são descritos. O cateter urinário pode ter uma haste de cateter anexada a uma pega, e um revestimento disposto em uma superfície externa da haste de cateter. O revestimento pode incluir um hidrogel, água e/ou glicerina e um polietilenoglicol (PEG). O PEG pode ter um peso molecular igual ou inferior a 600, por exemplo, um ou mais polietilenoglicol (PEG) 300 e PEG 400. O revestimento pode ser aplicado em estado úmido e permanecer úmido por um período prolongado de tempo, evitando assim a necessidade de um lubrificante, como um sachê de água ou embalagem de gel, para acompanhar o cateter no recipiente. O recipiente pode incluir um material de papel alumínio impermeável ao gás. O recipiente pode incluir uma aba adesiva cobrindo uma seção perfurada, a aba adesiva incluindo uma alça de puxar.
