A presente invenção refere-se a um tanque polimérico para alojar componentes de energia elétrica em um ambiente seco ou preenchido com fluido. Um receptáculo de montagem e um par de plugues sendo usados para prender os componentes de energia elétrica nas paredes internas do tanque. O receptáculo de montagem sendo configurado para constituir uma parte integral da parede interna. Uma proteção permeável é inserível dentro das paredes internas do tanque para protegê-las da radiação eletromagnética.
