Abstract
Um método e dispositivo para posicionar um suporte expansível em um vaso sanguíneo é divulgado neste documento. O dispositivo pode incluir um manípulo, um conjunto de cateter, um fio de núcleo e um suporte expansível. O suporte expansível pode ser usado para posicionar o dispositivo em relação à arteriotomia, bem como para fornecer hemostasia temporária. O suporte expansível pode ser fixado ao conjunto de cateter em uma primeira extremidade e ao fio de núcleo em uma segunda extremidade para otimizar a largura do suporte expansível com base na função que está sendo realizada pelo suporte expansível em um determinado momento. O conjunto de cateter pode ser capaz de se mover em relação ao manípulo e ao fio de núcleo, movendo assim a primeira extremidade do suporte expansível em relação ao manípulo e ao fio de núcleo.
