Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se ao campo da oncologia. Especificamente, são fornecidos métodos de tratamento de câncer em um sujeito com sinais clínicos do alojamento (homing) de células mielóides na medula óssea, incluindo neutropenia, neutropenia isolada, uma baixa porcentagem de blastos (células imaturas) no sangue periférico com ou sem uma alta porcentagem de blastos na medula óssea e/ou um baixa proporção de blastos de sangue periférico para blastos de medula óssea, com um inibidor de farnesiltransferase (FTI) que inclui determinar se é provável que o indivíduo seja responsivo ao tratamento com FTI com base em características hematológicas que indicam o alojamento de células mielóides na medula óssea (homing).
