É provido um sistema para realizar várias operações de perfuração de poços, incluindo a recuperação e a substituição de tampas internas de árvore de natal sólidas, por exemplo. O sistema pode incluir um lubrificador para águas abertas tendo um conjunto de pistão nele disposto. O sistema também pode incluir um pacote de controle de poço conectado a uma extremidade distal do lubrificador para águas abertas. O conjunto de pistão é configurado para se prolongar pelo pacote de controle de poço. O método usa sistemas aqui revelados, podendo ser realizados durante a manutenção de pelo menos duas barreiras de pressão de teste durante cada etapa de recuperação e substituição.
