Abstract
Refere-se a presente invenção ao uso de uma solução aquosa líquida de edaravona no tratamento de um distúrbio neurodegenerativo mediado pelo estresse oxidativo em um paciente humano, o referido tratamento compreendendo pelo menos uma vez por dia a administração oral da solução líquida de edaravona ao paciente humano, para proporcione uma dose diária de 40-120 mg de edaravona durante um período ininterrupto de pelo menos 10 dias. Exemplos de distúrbios neurodegenerativos mediados pelo estresse oxidativo que podem ser tratados dessa maneira incluem esclerose lateral amiotrófica (ELA), esclerose múltipla (EM), angiopatia amilóide cerebral (CAA), doença de Alzheimer e doença de Parkinson.
