A presente invenção refere-se a métodos para tratar ou prevenir pelo menos uma dentre depressão pós-natal (PND) e ansiedade pós-natal (PNA), e riscos e sequelas das mesmas, administrando-se Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001 ou derivados do mesmo e, adicionalmente, usos, composições e medicamentos que compreendem Lactobacillus rhamnosus HN001 ou derivados do mesmo, para tratar ou prevenir pelo menos uma dentre PND e PNA, e riscos e sequelas das mesmas.
