Abstract
A invenção é uma composição e métodos que restauram o equilíbrio da cascata de hormônios esteroides relacionados ao estresse. Após a coadministração, os compostos da invenção restauram o equilíbrio da cascata e promovem ou restauram a função normal em pacientes que sofrem de um distúrbio com um componente primário de estresse psicológico. As composições incluem uma combinação selecionada de isoflavonas, ácido alfa lipóico e L dopamina ou um precursor do mesmo, e são preferencialmente obtidas a partir de fontes naturais aqui divulgadas. Os métodos da invenção incluem a administração a pacientes que sofrem de PTSD, fibromialgia, endometriose e outros distúrbios com um componente comum de estresse crônico.
