Abstract
A invenção refere-se a um dispositivo médico compreendendo pelo menos um substrato com um revestimento, em que o revestimento compreende uma camada funcional localizada no substrato, com a camada funcional compreendendo pelo menos um álcool de açúcar e ligada direta ou indiretamente ao substrato através de uma funcionalização do álcool de açúcar. Alternativamente, a camada funcional também pode incluir outros sacarídeos, caso em que é essencial que a polimerização dos sacarídeos ocorra somente após a ligação ao substrato. O dispositivo médico da invenção exibe adesão e agregação plaquetárias reduzidas.
