Abstract
As presentes modalidades, em geral referem-se ao sulfato de dextrano, ou um sal farmaceuticamente aceitável do mesmo, para uso no tratamento, inibição ou prevenção de glaucoma em um sujeito. O sulfato de dextrano das modalidades alcança uma redução e normalização da pressão intraocular, um efeito neuroprotetor em termos de preservação das células ganglionares da retina e da camada de fibras nervosas da retina e dissolve elementos de cicatrização de malha trabecular estabelecidos.
