Abstract
Esta invenção revela um stent com válvula para implantação em um anel valvar atrioventricular disfuncional ou doente. O stent com válvula é expansível de um formato retraído para um formato expandido para entrega minimamente invasiva e tem um perfil baixo no aspecto atrial ou superior para alcançar uma hemodinâmica aprimorada e oferecer a capacidade de fabricar válvulas de substituição com diâmetros grandes. A invenção também inclui um aparelho de entrega projetado exclusivamente para implantação do stent com válvula e que oferece o potencial para posicionamento controlado e preciso do stent com válvula no anel atrioventricular. A invenção também inclui métodos para o uso dos dispositivos acima e para tratar válvulas atrioventriculares doentes.
