Abstract
São aqui fornecidas composições e métodos para controlar a decomposição de ureia induzida por enzima, auxiliar na aplicação de fertilizantes contendo ureia sólido ou líquido nos solos. Mais particularmente, o assunto aqui descrito refere-se a compostos de triarilmetano selecionados como inibidores de urease e seu uso, isoladamente ou em combinação com sinergistas de tetrapolímero. Além disso, as composições descritas têm boa estabilidade de armazenamento, longa vida útil no solo e evitam os problemas de toxicidade comuns aos inibidores de urease atuais usados na agricultura.
