A presente invenção refere-se a uma chapa de aço austenítica resistente ao desgaste, de acordo com um aspecto da presente invenção, que tem uma composição química predeterminada, as quantidades de C e Mn, em % em massa, satisfazem -13,75 × C + 16,5 = Mn = -20 × C + 30, a fração volumétrica de austenita em uma estrutura metalográfica é de 40% ou mais, e menor que 95%, e o tamanho médio de grão da austenita é de 40 a 300 µm.
