Abstract
É fornecido um método para testar a presença de um material particulado selecionado a partir do grupo que consiste em: um microorganismo, um fungo, uma bactéria, um esporo, um vírus, um ácaro, uma célula biológica, um antígeno biológico, uma proteina, um antígeno de proteina e um antígeno de carboidrato. O método inclui (a) coletar, em um tubo (22), o fluido que potencialmente contém o material particulado, (b) usando um êmbolo (24) para empurrar o fluido através de um filtro (26) disposto em uma porção distal do tubo ou em uma extremidade distal do êmbolo, e subsequentemente, (c) enquanto o filtro estiver dentro do tubo, verificar se qualquer um dos materiais particulados foi retido pelo filtro aplicando uma solução de facilitação de teste de presença de material particulado ao filtro. Outras formas de realização são também descritas.
