Abstract
Vários métodos para diagnosticar defeitos e desuniões em dispositivos e materiais são revelados. Em algumas modalidades, os métodos envolvem resfriar uma porção de um material ou dispositivo, aquecer uma porção do material ou dispositivo com um instrumento de aquecimento, interromper a aplicação de calor ao material ou dispositivo, e obter uma imagem do material ou dispositivo com o uso de um imageador térmico após o calor ser removido. Em certas variantes, as desuniões e/ou os defeitos podem ser visualizados como áreas e manchas mais quentes no material através da imagem térmica.
