Abstract
A invenção provê um método melhorado para isolar o 3-(E)-isômero de um ácido carboxílico insaturado de uma mistura de isômeros (E/Z) correspondentes. Mais particularmente, a presente invenção se refere a um método melhorado para a preparação biocatalítica de (3E,7E)-ácido homofarnesílico, bem como um método biocatalítico inovador para a preparação melhorada de homofarnesol, em particular de (3E,7E)-homofarnesol e preparações de homofarnesol com um maior teor de (3E,7E)-homofarnesol. A presente invenção também se refere a métodos de preparar (-)-ambrox aplicando (3E,7E)-ácido homofarnesílico ou (3E,7E)-homofarnesol como obtidos de acordo com a invenção como material de partida.
