Uma microcápsula direcionada ao biofilme, adequada para depósito sobre um biofilme a partir de uma dispersão aquosa, compreendendo uma micropartícula sólida com diâmetro médio de 1 a 100 mícrons, a micropartícula transportando um material funcional não volátil a ser fornecido ao biofilme após a micropartícula ter sido depositada sobre o biofilme, caracterizada pela micropartícula ter se ligado à sua superfície externa de 0,5 a 5% em peso, com base no peso da micropartícula, de polímero polissacarídeo não iônico.
