Abstract
A presente invenção se refere ao campo médico, em particular, ao tratamento de transtornos neurológicos. Mais especificamente, a presente invenção se refere a uma nanopartícula ou um agregado de nanopartículas para uso na prevenção ou no tratamento de uma doença neurológica ou pelo menos um sintoma da mesma em um indivíduo, quando a nanopartícula ou o agregado de nanopartículas é exposto a um campo elétrico, em que o material da nanopartícula ou do agregado de nanopartículas é selecionado a partir de um material condutor, um material semicondutor, um material isolante com uma constante dielétrica (eijk) igual ou acima de 200 e um material isolante com uma constante dielétrica (eijk) igual ou abaixo de 100. A mesma se refere adicionalmente a composições e kits que compreendem essas nanopartículas e/ou agregados de nanopartículas, assim como aos usos dos mesmos.
