Abstract
A presente invenção fornece uma composição de material e um processo de produção de uma cerâmica vítrea nanocristalina de ZrO2-SiO2 translúcida (NCGC) com resistência à flexão ultraelevada. O método compreende as seguintes etapas: (1) preparar um pó homogêneo de ZrO2-SiO2 nanométrico de elevada pureza por meio de um método de sol-gel; (2) sinterizar com auxílio de pressão o pó de sol-gel de ZrO2-SiO2 nanométrico para obter uma NCGC de ZrO2-SiO2 translúcida. A invenção também inclui materiais fabricados usando o método.
