Abstract
São descritos polipeptídeos de mosaico sintéticos de vírus de doença de pé-e-boca (FMDV), e de moléculas de ácido nucleico que codificam os polipeptídeos de mosaico. Os polipeptídeos de mosaico têm maior cobertura de epítopo de célula T que os polipeptídeos de FMDV de ocorrência natural, e incluem epítopos de FMDV comuns, mas excluem epítopos de FMDV raros. Quando incluídos como parte de um genoma de FMDV, os polipeptídeos de mosaico permitem a replicação viral e a montagem em partículas de FMDV. O polipeptídeo de mosaico e as composições de ácido nucleico podem ser usados para provocar respostas imunes que fornecem proteção contra uma ampla faixa de cepas de FMDV de sorotipo A.
