Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a um método de isolamento de uma população de células-tronco mesenquimais da membrana amniótica do cordão umbilical, o método compreendendo cultivar tecido de cordão umbilical em um meio de cultura que compreende DMEM (Meio de Eagle Modificado por Dulbecco), F12 (Meio F12 de Ham), M171 (Meio 171) e FBS (Soro Fetal Bovino). A invenção também se refere a uma população de células-tronco mesenquimais isolada da membrana amniótica do cordão umbilical, em que pelo menos cerca de 90 % ou mais células da população de células-tronco expressam cada um dos seguintes marcadores: CD73, CD90 e CD105 e não expressam os seguintes marcadores: CD34, CD45 e HLA-DR. A invenção também se refere a uma composição farmacêutica desta população de células-tronco mesenquimais.
