Abstract
A presente invenção fornece um produto de papel tissue formado a partir um suprimento de fibra consistindo essencialmente de fibras celulósicas curtas, tais como fibras com um comprimento médio de fibra inferior a cerca de 2,0 mm, e uma fibra sintética com pelo menos uma dimensão em seção transversal inferior a cerca de 20 mícrons. Geralmente o produto de papel tissue compreende menos de 30 por cento, em peso do produto de papel tissue, de fibra sintética. Em uma modalidade preferencial, o produto de papel tissue compreende fibras de tereftalato de polietileno (PET) não-fibrilado com um formato em seção transversal circular com um diâmetro inferior a cerca de 5,0 mícrons e são substancialmente livres de fibras celulósicas longas. Apesar de estar livre de fibras celulósicas longas, o produto de papel tissue tem boa resistência e baixa rigidez.
