Abstract
Trata-se de um sistema para monitoramento do tamanho fetal de uma gestante que compreende um sensor acústico para posicionamento sobre a barriga da gestante, sendo que o sensor acústico é configurado para receber um sinal acústico gerado pelo batimento cardíaco fetal e para gerar um sinal de saída do sensor. Um tamanho fetal é determinado a partir de uma intensidade de sinal de saída do sensor. Esse sistema tem por base a percepção de que certos sinais acústicos gerados pelo batimento cardíaco fetal são fortemente correlacionados ao tamanho do feto.
