Um método inclui, durante um período de agitação de um perfil de agitação, aplicar um movimento a um recipiente transparente contendo um fluido; e, ao aplicar o movimento, adquirir uma sequência de imagens originais de uma porção do recipiente transparente; gerar uma imagem de fundo a partir da sequência de imagens originais; gerar uma imagem resultante da imagem de fundo e uma imagem original na sequência de imagens originais; e identificar, a partir da imagem resultante, uma partícula no fluido.
