Abstract
Trata-se de uma luva de malha para direcionar e proteger membros alongados e um método de construção da mesma. A luva inclui uma parede de malha alongada que tem uma periferia externa tubular circunferencialmente contínua que se estende ao longo de um eixo geométrico central entre as extremidades abertas opostas. A parede inclui fio encolhível de malha e fio não encolhível de malha. O fio encolhível fornece à parede uma capacidade de ser radialmente constrita a partir de um primeiro estado diametralmente ampliado para um segundo estado diametralmente encolhido, em que o dito fio encolhível e o dito fio não encolhível são tecidos em malha em grupos alternados de cursos entre si.
