Abstract
Um cateter de captura de coágulo compreende um eixo tubular alongado que tem uma extremidade proximal, uma extremidade distal e um membro expansível inflável na extremidade distal. O membro expansível é inflável de uma configuração de aplicação achatada para uma configuração expandida. Na configuração expandida, o membro expansível se estende para definir um formato de funil tendo uma boca de entrada de coágulo distal alargada na extremidade mais distal do cateter. Na configuração expandida, o membro expansível pode se estender distalmente além da ponta mais distal do eixo. O membro expansível pode ser integral com a ponta distal do eixo do cateter.
