Um objetivo da presente invenção é fornecer um composto de benzilamida ou um sal do mesmo que controla um ácaro. A presente invenção fornece um composto de benzilamida representado pela fórmula (1): ou um sal do mesmo, em que R1 representa C1-6 alquila ou C1-6 haloal-quila; R2 e R3 são idênticos ou diferentes e cada um representa hidro-gênio, halogênio, ciano, nitro, C1-6 alquila, ou similares; R4 representa hidrogênio, formila, C1-6 alquila, ou similares; R5 e R6 são idênticos ou diferentes e cada um representa hidrogênio, halogênio, ou C1-6 alquila, ou similares; R7, R8, R9, R10, e R11 são idênticos ou diferentes e cada um representa hidrogênio, halogênio, ou similares; X representa oxi-gênio ou enxofre; e n representa um número inteiro de 0 a 2.
