Abstract
A presente divulgação é dirigida a balões revestidos com fármaco e, em particular, a balões revestidos com fármacos tendo uma estrutura microcristalina e técnicas para aumentar a permeabilidade vascular para aplicação e retenção de fármacos. Aspectos particulares podem ser dirigidos para um dispositivo médico incluindo um balão com uma superfície externa e uma camada de revestimento de fármaco na superfície externa do balão. A camada de revestimento de fármaco inclui microcristais numa orientação palheiro tendo uma ausência aleatória e substancial de uniformidade na colocação e / ou ângulo na superfície externa do balão.
