Abstract
Trata-se de um processo para polimerizar ou copolimerizar monômeros etilenicamente insaturados em pressões na faixa de 110 MPa a 500 MPa em uma linha de produção que compreende um reator de polimerização operado continuamente que é instalado dentro de um recinto de proteção, em que a linha de produção é monitorada em relação a uma ocorrência de um vazamento de monômeros ou de mistura de reação e um sistema de inundação à base de água, o qual fornece gotículas de um diâmetro em uma faixa de 25 µm a 20 mm para a área confinada, é iniciado automaticamente com uma vazão mínima de 10 l/min por m2 de área confinada quando um vazamento de monômeros ou de mistura da reação é detectado.
