Abstract
Trata-se de métodos para determinar a sensibilidade tumoral à terapia hormonal (endócrina) com base em um índice de genes relacionados ao receptor de estrogênio (ER) e ao receptor de progesterona (PR), referido como o índice de sensibilidade à terapia endócrina (índice SETER/PR), e pode ter uma consideração adicional para a proporção de transcrições de RNA de gene ER (ESR1) que contêm uma mutação relativa ao valor do índice SETER/PR. Proporcionam-se, ainda, métodos para tratar pacientes com câncer de mama determinados como sendo sensíveis a uma terapia endócrina pelo índice SETER/PR.
