A invenção refere-se a um filtro de cigarro. Em particular, a presente invenção refere-se a um novo filtro de cigarro, em que são usados materiais de origem natural, que não tenham sido aplicadas nessa área especial antes. Mais particularmente, a presente invenção refere-se a um filtro de cigarro, que pode ser usada para adsorver os componentes tóxicos do fumo do cigarro, e reduzindo o dano tecidual desencadeada pelo fumo do cigarro sobre os órgãos respiratórios, do sistema cardiovascular e da mucosa. Especialmente o presente invento relaciona-se com um filtro de cigarro contendo alginite.
