Abstract
Uma fibroína modificada incluindo uma sequência de domínio indicada pela Fórmula 1: [motivo (A)n-REP]m. A sequência de domínio tem uma sequência de aminoácidos tendo um teor reduzido de motivo (A)n comparado com a fibroína naturalmente derivada, a dita redução sendo equivalente à deleção de pelo menos um motivo (A)n. [Na Fórmula 1, o motivo (A)n indica uma sequência de aminoácidos compreendendo 4 a 20 resíduos de aminoácido. O número de resíduos de alanina em relação ao número total de resíduos de aminoácido no motivo (A)n é de pelo menos 83%. REP indica uma sequência de aminoácidos compreendendo 10 a 200 resíduos de aminoácido. m indica um número inteiro entre 8 e 300. Uma pluralidade de motivos (A)n etc., pode ter a mesma sequência de aminoácidos ou sequências de aminoácidos diferentes.
