Abstract
É provido um método para diagnosticar e/ou monitorar lesão encefálica traumática (TBI) em um indivíduo. O método compreende determinar um nível de, pelo menos, um miRNA em uma amostra de fluido do indivíduo. O miRNA pode ser selecionado dentre miR-425-5p, miR-502, miR-21 e miR-335. O método pode envolver determinar se um indivíduo está sofrendo de TBI leve ou TBI moderada a grave. Também são providos um elemento sensor, um sistema de detecção, composição e um kit para diagnosticar e/ou monitorar TBI, e um método para determinar um tratamento apropriado para um indivíduo com suspeita de TBI.
