Abstract
São fornecidos, neste documento, anticorpos tetravalentes que se ligam especificamente ao PSGL-1 humano. Ao contrário de anti-corpos bivalentes, esses anticorpos tetravalentes contêm um dímero de dois monômeros, com cada monômero compreendendo dois domínios varáveis de cadeia leve (VL) e dois domínios variáveis de cadeia pesada (VH). Este formato permite anticorpos tetravalentes independentes de reticuladores/células que expressam FcR contra o PSGL-1 que mostra maior eficácia em comparação a anticorpos bivalentes contra PSGL-1. Esses anticorpos tetravalentes podem ser usados em uma variedade de métodos diagnósticos e terapêuticos, incluindo, sem limitação, tratamento de doenças inflamatórias mediadas por células T, transplantes e transfusões.
