Uma imagem alvo pode ser adquirida, em que a imagem alvo pode incluir uma pluralidade de elementos, um elemento dos quais pode corresponder a um pixel ou um voxel. A imagem alvo pode ser decomposta em pelo menos uma camada, em que pelo menos uma camada pode incluir uma sub-imagem de baixa frequência e uma sub-imagem de alta frequência. Pelo menos uma camada pode ser transformada. A camada transformada pode ser reconstruída em uma imagem composta.
