Abstract
A presente invenção descreve um método para aceleração do crescimento vegetal por meio do silenciamento do gene DELLA, bem como as plantas transgênicas obtidas a partir do método descrito, mais especificamente cana-de-açúcar.O referido gene DELLA é responsável pelo controle do desenvolvimento vegetal, logo, as canas-de-açúcar que compreendem este gene silenciado ou com expressão reduzida apresentam desenvolvimento mais rápido sem que os níveis de sacarose sejam comprometidos.
