O método inclui fluir um combustível misto, o combustível misto sendo constituído de, pelo menos, um primeiro tipo de combustível e um segundo tipo de combustível, o período de fluxo de combustível misto sendo determinado quando o combustível é comutado do primeiro tipo de combustível para o segundo tipo de combustível, determinar uma densidade do primeiro tipo de combustível e uma densidade do segundo tipo de combustível, e determinar um fluxo total, o fluxo total sendo determinado a partir da densidade do primeiro tipo de combustível e da densidade do segundo tipo de combustível.
