Abstract
A invenção provê uma emulsão de óleo em água tópica tendo umidificação, e proteção, reparo ou restauração da barreira lipídica da pele dos lábios de um mamífero e é uma composição de emulsão de óleo em água tópica compreendendo: (a) uma fase oleosa descontínua; (b) uma fase aquosa contínua compreendendo água; (c) um agente espessante; (d) pelo menos uma estrutura de membrana lamelar compreendendo (i) um componente anfifílico de alquila, (ii) um éster de um ácido graxo ramificado e um álcool graxo ramificado, (iii) um ácido graxo, (iv) um álcool graxo e opcionalmente (v) um fosfolipídio; e em que em uso a composição tem uma taxa de transmissão de vapor d?água de menos do que 65 g.m-2.hr-1 medida in vitro.
