Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a sistemas de conexão de fibra ótica (5) que incluem um adaptador de fibra ótica (10) contendo conjuntos de obturadores (34, 17) para obstruir feixes de laser e proteger os olhos das pessoas. Os conjuntos de obturadores (34, 17) são inclinados por uma mola e pivotalmente movidos entre as posições fechada e aberta. Em determinados exemplos, os conjuntos de obturadores (34, 17) podem incluir um elemento de travamento integrado (48) que se comprime dentro dos conectores de fibra ótica (12, 14) para sustentar/reter os conectores nas primeira e segunda portas (20, 24).
